The White Doves Scholarship Program
- Scholarship Monitoring and Inclusivity Data
Distribution of Scholars by Gender: The White Doves Scholarship Program aims to contribute to societal development by offering equal educational opportunities. As of 2024, 76% of the scholars are women (19) and 24% are men (6). This gender distribution reflects the program's commitment to gender equality and supports the stronger participation of women in society through education.
Regional Distribution: The program targets successful students from all 81 provinces of Turkey. Scholars from outside Istanbul come from regions including Ankara, Eskişehir, Konya, Denizli, Adana, Tekirdağ, Aydın, Bursa, Bartın, Sinop, Samsun, Tokat, Sivas, Kayseri, Iğdır, and Manisa. This regional diversity is a significant indicator of the program’s mission to create interdisciplinary value and expand access to equal educational opportunities. By increasing the spread of educational equity, the program enhances its social impact.
- Academic Achievement and Completion Data
Monitoring the academic success of scholars is critical to measuring the sustainable success of the program. This success is based on the principle of contributing to change through social impact. 100% of the scholars who started undergraduate studies have a cumulative GPA above 2.50. The first graduates will receive their diplomas at the end of the 2024-2025 academic year.
Scholars' Grade Point Averages: Tracking the scholars' annual grade point averages is an important metric demonstrating the program's contribution to education. The support provided, such as living stipends, book allowances, and housing assistance, reflects positively on students' academic achievements. 100% of undergraduate students have a GPA above 2.50.
Double Major and Minor Participation: The participation rates of scholars in double major or minor programs are important for increasing academic success and interdisciplinary knowledge. These opportunities help students enhance their ability to create interdisciplinary value. Out of 25 scholars, 21 are in undergraduate programs, and 6 are in their first year. Due to the lack of grade points for first-year students, no double major applications have been made yet. Four students are in preparatory programs. Six are already pursuing double majors, and among them, four are pursuing both a double major and a minor.

Kadir Has University contributes to the development of White Doves Scholarship Program scholars by offering extensive opportunities. These include book scholarships, meal scholarships (for 10 months), housing scholarships (for 9 months), double major and minor options, internships with donor companies, and campus employment opportunities, which provide both experience and financial support. Scholars also connect with NGOs such as LÖSEV and Koruncuk Foundation to contribute to society.
Mentorship and Industry Partnerships: Mentorship programs and industry collaborations prepare scholars for the workforce. These programs enhance corporate social responsibility awareness and foster global citizenship by providing international partnerships and internship opportunities. Alumni donors also mentor current scholars in their respective fields.
Erasmus and International Education Support: The Erasmus program encourages scholars to gain international experience, helping them increase their global knowledge and create social impact. For the 2024-2025 academic year, one scholar has been selected to participate in the Erasmus program at Artevelde University in Ghent, Belgium, with a grant. This international experience will significantly contribute to their academic and personal development. Another scholar will have a similar experience in the spring semester.
- Comprehensive Social and Economic Support
The White Doves Scholarship Program goes beyond covering tuition by providing additional support such as living stipends, housing, meals, and book allowances to help students participate equally in life.
- Housing Support: Providing scholars with housing facilities makes access to education easier and offers equal opportunities for participation in society. For nine months, comfortable accommodations are offered in a dormitory located behind the university building for female students, and a dormitory 8 minutes away from the university for male students.
- Book and Living Allowances: Adjusted annually for inflation, the book and living stipends have increased from 2,000 TL in 2020 to 7,500 TL today. The living stipend is provided for 10 months each academic year (7,500 TL per month). These supports play a crucial role in boosting students' academic success, aligning with the institutional philosophy of corporate goodwill.
- Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Gender Equality
The White Doves Scholarship Program aligns with Kadir Has University's commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly those focused on Gender Equality and Quality Education. The high proportion of female scholars (76%) demonstrates the program's strong support for gender equality, contributing to societal development in line with the SDGs.
